Lesser Celandine has invaded the northern suburbs of Chicago. It looks innocent enough – like a groundcover with pretty yellow flowers. However, it is aggressive, has no natural predators in our area, and grows in many conditions. If you see it, you should take proper steps to eradicate it before it gets out of control. If you can, dig it out asap and be sure to get the entire tuber or it will come back.  More information on lesser celandine is here. Information on least toxic methods to eradicate it are here.
