The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is working with the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus and Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission to create a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the greater Chicago region by 2050.

The Comprehensive Climate Action Plan for Greater Chicago will identify key actions needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It will build on previous climate action plans from across the region, creating a coordinated strategy to reduce emissions and address climate impacts in low-income and disadvantaged communities. This work is funded through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants Program.

To get community feedback on local challenges, we are sharing a brief questionnaire. Respondents will be eligible to win a $20 gift card.

Help us spread the word!

Please share the questionnaire to your network using this promotional toolkit. It includes flyers, social media graphics, and sample text in English and Spanish you can use in newsletters and on social.

Thanks for your help getting your community’s voices heard. If you have any questions, feel free to email Jules Voigt.
