Home energy use is a large source of carbon emissions in our region. By replacing natural gas appliances with electric ones, your energy use will become cleaner as more renewable energy is added to the electric grid. One way to do this is by using heat pumps for heating, cooling and hot water. These devices transfer thermal energy from a cooler to a warmer area, and work in cold climates. More information on this efficient technology is available here and a video explanation is here.
