The Hale Sustainability Conference @ DePaul University

Join the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center, Department of Sustainability Management and the Career Center for The Hale Sustainability Conference at DePaul University (1 E. Jackson Blvd, 8th floor, ste. 8005). The purpose of this conference is to provide career development opportunities to students interested in sustainability and further connect the DePaul sustainability community with the larger Chicago ecosystem and beyond.

Registration for the conference is free due to the generous donation of the conference and fair sponsor, The Hale Family Foundation.  All members of the sustainability community are invited to attend and can register here.

Agenda

  • 3:00pm — Conference Welcome
  • 3:15pm-4:15pm — Sustainability Pitch Competition
    • The CEC will invite 4 finalist teams to do a 5-minute pitch on their sustainable business idea followed by 5 minutes of Q&A with the audience and judges. All teams will receive a $1000 scholarship courtesy of the Hale Family Foundation.
  • 4:15pm-4:45pm — Get to Know DePaul Net Impact, DePaul Trees, Climate Reality, DePaul Urban Gardeners, DePaul Fair Trade Committee
  • 4:45pm-5:15pm – Keynote Speaker on Sustainability and Entrepreneurship:  Dane Christianson, CEO at Block Bins
  • 5:15pm-5:30pm — Overview of CEC Summer Internship Program for Sustainability (Applications open April 10)
  • 5:30pm-6:00pm — Networking Reception (Light appetizers and beverages will be served)
