Community Screening of “A Tree Story”

The Environmental Justice Coalition is hosting a community screening of “A Tree Story: Gullah/Geechee Roots and Resilience.” The film explores not only the issues with gentrification, racial injustice, and sea-level rise related to climate change, but also tells the story of community solutions.

The short film (~18 minutes long) will be followed by a panel discussion. We are hoping the film will spark conversation about some of the similar challenges we face here in Evanston, and highlight the work local organizations and community leaders are doing to address these issues.
